Spicy Cashew Sauce

I’ve been eating some variation of this sauce for years and it’s actually perfect for winter because it goes so well on rice, veggie bowls, pasta etc. Plus, the spiciness adds a little heat which I love – you can probably eyeball this and customize it to your liking.

INGREDIENTS:

3 cups cashews ⁣

2 cups water

1-2 cloves of garlic

1-2 tbsp hot sauce (I used the brand Sauce)

Salt and pepper to taste

You can also add nutritional yeast or cheese, or a squeeze of lemon for more flavor ⁣

DIRECTIONS:

Soak the cashews for an hour so they’re easy to blend, then combine ingredients in a blender and enjoy! Add it to your favorite pasta, add your favorite veggies, or customize to your liking.
