Skincare Routine

I am always switching up my skincare routine so I’ll keep you guys current on my favorite products moving forward, but first I’m going to take you through my constant-always-must have-can’t live without staples. Also I’d like to just say here (before the product police get me) that while my makeup remover and cleansers are all natural, I haven’t completely overhauled my beauty products. I know some products are loaded with harmful chemicals and endocrine disrupters but I just haven’t gone that route yet. I’ve linked each product in it’s name, and while some are pricey I truly believe your skin is worth the investment! xo

Nighttime Routine:

Makeup Remover: Vapor Clarity Organic Makeup Remover, $32

The first step to clear skin is taking the day off. I like a no frills gentle oil to remove makeup and impurities and Vapor delivers just that.

Cleanser:  Julisis Silver Wash Night, $95

I love a really gentle cleanser because I leave the heavy lifting to my prescription serum, below. Julisis is my must have to dissolve the day away and really purify skin, and it aides in skin’s detoxification throughout the night.

Serum AKA THE REAL MVP:  Dr. Talei’s Magical Serum

My doctor prescribed me this serum containing Tretinoin (a retinoid), Hydroquinone (can’t live without skin lightener), Kojic Acid (melanin production inhibitor), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C, helps with collagen production), Vitamin E (anti aging) and Niacinamide (Vitamin B3, helps with hyper-pigmentation and uneven skin tone).

This stuff has CHANGED my skin. I don’t really break out aside from some hormonal acne around my period, but I do have discoloration from past blemishes. I also used to smoke and cook myself in the sun and those nasty habits are beginning to reveal themselves on my face. In just a month of using this serum my skin has considerably evened out, red marks are becoming a thing of my past, and fine lines are gone.

Moisturizer: La Mer The Moisturizing Cream , $170 / Natura Bisse Essential Shock Intense Cream, $120

The OG La Mer cream is thick so I don’t load globs onto my skin, but it eliminates excessive dryness in one night and leaves me plump and dewy in the morning.

Natura Bisse is a light but incredibly rich cream that is perfect for nightly use to stave off dryness and redness, especially in the winter.

Morning Routine:

Cleanser: Julisis Gold Wash Day, $95

I swear this instantly brightens my skin in the morning! It’s probably the liquid gold – seriously.

Sunscreen: La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Sunscreen Tinted for Face, Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50

I have used every sunscreen there is and for whatever reason, this one doesn’t break me out and most importantly doesn’t pill under makeup.

I’d love to hear the products YOU are loving below!
