My Favorite Matchas

I’ve been starting my mornings with matcha for years which you already know if you follow me on any form of social media (I post about it a lot). It’s an obsession and it seems like a hot topic as it’s one of my most requested DMs! Seems I’m not the only matcha lover in the group!

This isn’t a shocker seeing that matcha has been linked to so many health benefits, like increasing metabolism, serving as a healthy source of antioxidants, enhancing mood and brain function and strengthening your immune system. On top of that, matcha also comes with a few beauty benefits, like anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s a calmer source of caffeine, making it the perfect energy boost in the mornings – without the typical caffeine crash.

I consider my morning matcha latte an important part of my wellness routine, and it’s something that I definitely could not live without. Here are my favorites!

Chalait

The Chalait Matcha Tea is available in four grades – everyday grade (perfect for those who want to get into matcha but don’t know where to start!), organic grade, top grade and reserve grade. This selection is great because it fits all kinds of tastes, whether you’re into sweet, savory or nutty flavors. Chalait also has these matcha to-go sticks that can be added to your water bottle or smoothie whenever you’re on the go.

Shayna’s Kitchen

The Morning Ritual Ground Matcha by Shayna’s Kitchen is a koicha (“thick tea”) matcha that’s smooth and strong with no trace of bitterness. It’s the perfect way to boost your wellness routine and dip your toes into high-quality matcha – and it’s as easy as mixing it with cold or hot water or your favorite nut milk for a benefits-rich matcha latte.

SunLife Organics

Sunlife Organics is one of my favorite juice bars – and they have locations all over SoCal. They have an amazing menu of coffees, teas, juices, smoothies and quick, healthy eats, but their matcha latte is what has me obsessed. It’s made with ceremonial grade matcha, coconut cream, raw honey and oat milk (yes, please!).

Ippodo Tea Co.

Ippodo Tea Co. has always been one of my favorites, and I love their selection of matchas. From regular, organic and sweetened matchas to rich, balanced and light flavors, you can make your morning matcha as the thicker koicha or thinner usucha (“thin tea”).

Is matcha a part of your morning routine? If so, I’d love to hear your must-try brands.
