Who loves my crowd pleaser cookies? So how about CARAMEL SWIRL CROWD PLEASERS. As if they could get any better, right? I followed the usual recipe but added a caramel sauce.
INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 cups almond flour
1/2 cup maple syrup (or Lakanto maple syrup)
1/2 – 3/4 cup coconut sugar
1 tbsp apple sauce
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 Hu Dark Chocolate Cashew Butter Bar
1 cup nut or seed butter (I like cashew)
Salt flakes (for topping)
Caramel sauce:
1 part melted coconut butter (I used about 1/3 cup for this recipe)
1 part maple syrup (same as coco butter)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients; extra points if you can refrigerate dough for 30 mins before baking
Roll into about 7 balls and flatten into patties about 1/3 inch thick; place on cookie sheet
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until starting to brown
When you remove the cookies from the oven, press the middle down and pour a spoonful of caramel in; add chocolate and let sit (chocolate will melt in sauce)
Once cooled a bit, swirl the chocolate around and voila
